This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin area, at a company where effort is rewarded. You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Do you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? You'll be preferred for this role.

Your responsibilities

Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

Partake in various department-wide initiatives

Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting Requirements - Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Spreadsheet and database capabilities

Strong attention to detail

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

Current and relevant ERP system experience

Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

Month-end Journal Entries experience

Construction project accounting experience

General ledger experience

Proficiency in Construction Accounting

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
