Bethel University is seeking to hire a dynamic professional to join our team as aStaff Accountant.
The role of Staff Accountant is to support the financial management of the university through maintenance of accounting records and reports and perform a wide variety of advanced accounting work under minimum supervision.
Duties Include:
Reconciling transaction accounts, posting to and balancing general or subsidiary ledgers, processing payments and compiling segments of monthly closings, monthly and annual reports.Verifying accuracy, completeness and consistency of accounting information received.Recording disbursements, expenses and other payments.Coding documents in accordance with accounts listing.Contacting other departments and or outside parties to resolve common problems.Experience: Two to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A college degree; Accounting or Finance preferred.
