Responsibilities SUMMARY: Perform daily and monthly activities to assure a timely and accurate month end close ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and reconcile GL accounts Create monthly customer summary billings Generate monthly journal entries as part of the month end close process Bank reconciliation Monthly Sales Tax filings Annual Personal Property Tax filings Other assignments as requested by Director of Accounting Safety Duties & Responsibilities: Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual. * Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis. Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires an Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 2 + years of general account experience is preferred. 2+ years or more experience in Sales and Use Tax is preferred. Intermediate or above Microsoft Excel Skills. Attention to detail and good organizational and documentation skills required Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX Finance or Microsoft D365 F&O (Finance & Operations). Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. REASONING ABILITY: No major critical thinking required. Work follows established job aids and business rules. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
