This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Midvale, Utah area, at a company where effort is rewarded. Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

　　Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

　　Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

　　Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

　　Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

　　Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

　　Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

　　Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

　　Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

　　In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

　　Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

　　Requirements - Maintain Vendor Files experience preferred

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required

　　bi-Monthly Payroll experience

　　Adeptness in journal entries

　　Bank reconciliations experience

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience

　　Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

　　Experience with ERP systems

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

　　3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

　　Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

　　Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

　　Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

　　Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
