Description

　　There's currently a contract Staff Accountant position through Robert Half that you may want to check out. Based in the Wells, Maine region, this company offers an engaging and mulit-faceted short-term contract / temporary opportunity where effort is rewarded. The duties of Staff Accountant include fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and the preparation of monthly and year-end closings.

　　Responsibilities

　　Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

　　Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision

　　Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

　　Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules

　　Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management

　　Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

　　Requirements

　　Knowledge of Annual Budget

　　Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

　　Strong familiarity with data entry

　　High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

　　Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Ability to meet deadlines

　　Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

　　Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

　　Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
