This is a leadership position expanding the HGA Building Technologies department's footprint to the West Coast. This position will work directly with HGA Principals to differentiate HGA from its competitors through the application of transformational building technologies and build upon current department success. Additionally, this position will lead the Building Technologies design scope on projects; meetings with clients ideate solutions, determine project requirements, and lead a design team to create construction documents for projects. We recognize that there is a wide range of low voltage building systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in general building technologies with the ability to apply multiple technologies strategically to improve our client's businesses in these market sectors: public, corporate, higher education, arts and culture, science and technology, and healthcare. Typical experience might cover systems such as: Wired and Wireless Voice and Data Networks Audiovisual systems including presentation, digital signage, etc. Security systems including access control, video surveillance, duress, etc Real Time Locating Systems Building Management/Automation Systems In this role you will: Work closely with HGA Principals in prepositioning for potential projects, creating proposals, and participating in project interviews Lead meetings with client leadership and stakeholders to discuss project and technology related goals, concepts, budgets and design details Strategize with internal and external teams to develop current and future technology solutions for application to our client's organizations Work with internal and external teams to develop and implement decision making processes and build consensus around project related decisions Work with client teams to understand current technologies and develop strategies and processes to evaluate and implement new technologies Clearly and concisely communicates technology concepts to technical and non-technical clientele (specifically within the Healthcare Technology market) Work to understands our client's business with the ability to strategically introduce technology to improve business outcomes Be the client facing Building Technologies lead guiding and educating client leadership and stakeholders Plan and guides site survey activities to document existing building technology systems Lead internal and external teams in technology visioning sessions to introduce new technologies into client organizations and create technology focused roadmaps for long term implementation Provide an example for the team to emulate in terms of professionalism and design excellence Work with internal team directing designers in design concepts and requirements to complete and deliver documents Direct implementation of standard procedures for project deliverable production, review, and issuance. Performs quality control for deliverables including presentation, packaging, adherence to standards, completeness, and timeliness You will need to have: A B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other applicable design and engineering fields A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of Low Voltage Systems including Telecommunications Infrastructure, Security Systems - Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion/Duress, Audio/Video Systems, Digital Signage and Paging/Sound Masking Systems Certifications in their low voltage specialty A professional Engineering license (PE) is preferred A willingness to seek and obtain new certifications as needed to perform the role Manufacturer certifications in relevant design capabilities and systems/product understanding are a plus Salary Information: The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $78,600 to $141,200.
