Sr. Technical Recruiter
Position Objective:
The Technical Staffing Resources Senior Technical Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, qualifying, and presenting technical professional candidates in order to fill client job requirements.
Location: Houston/Hybrid/Remote
Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities: The responsibilities described below are not all-inclusive; job duties and tasks may be altered based on business conditions and objectives.
Engage in direct and indirect recruiting efforts including the identification, qualification, and presentation of candidates in response to current, anticipated and future client requirements.
Develop a strong candidate database or pipeline in order to respond promptly to client needs.
Maintain accurate and timely records in the applicant tracking system “ATS” including: uploading resumes in system for every new hire, tracking of interviews, submittals, placements, transfers and terminations. In addition, the ATS requires information for OFCCP compliance purposes, which include: entry of gender and race information for each qualified “applicant”, as well as enter the appropriate reason code for the applicant if they were not selected for the job. An “applicant” is identified as any qualified candidate who has completed an interview with the client.
Conduct initial screening interview and reference checks, negotiate salary, coordinate client interviews and work with the client, if applicable, to close deals, and conduct follow-up with candidate after decision.
Be responsible for assisting client placements through proactive client lead generation.
Provide ongoing support to established base of current employees to ensure high degree of employee retention and to drive continuous employee assignments. This includes conducting phone or in person contact with employees at the end of their first day on assignment, and regular phone and/or in person contact throughout their assignment. An informal employee satisfaction review should be conducted every three (3) months following the employee’s assignment start date.
Address any employment management issues that may arise for field employees assigned to the recruiter, and obtain management and HR guidance when appropriate.
Create strong client relationships, which will assist in generating additional client requirements. In this case, the Senior Recruiter may take on the role of “account manager” as needed, whereas they may assist with client meetings, presentations, and in some cases, client negotiations.
Excel in locating hard-to-find talent for challenging client requisitions.
Be a subject matter expert in the utilization of Technical Staffing Resources, LLC systems and standard practices.
Offer viable solutions and recommendations to client, employee or recruiting process, procedure or system issues.
Consistently generate viable leads through existing clients, employees and applicants.
Have a well-established field employee database which allows them to recruit highly qualified individuals into position requirements with a swift turn-around time and ahead of the competition.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree
Minimum 5 years of recruiting experience
Minimum 5 years of engineering recruiting experience
Minimum 5 years of industry related EPC experience
Minimum 5 years of agency recruiting experience
Strong knowledge and experience with applicant tracking tools
Ability to work independently and keep senior management adequately informed
