We are hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer (IT Infrastructure Support) to work in Laurel, MD. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.

As an IT Infrastructure Support Systems Engineer on our team you will provide systems engineering support orchestrating threads, requirements, and many common functions across the enterprise IT infrastructure. You will assist in requirements derivation and collaborate with stakeholders and service owners to achieve a simplified, streamlined portal. The goal is a comprehensive technology and process stack that establishes, implements, maintains, and continually improves the service management system.
Provide systems engineering support to a web portal initiative that will provide all users with a central location to request EIS services, determine status of requests, and determine operational status of EIS services. You will assist in requirements derivation, and collaborate with stakeholders and service owners, to achieve a simplified, streamlined portal.
Collaborate with service providers, analyze data on service offerings, and make recommendations to streamline offerings and provide informative service portal content.
Derive from the systems requirements and understanding of stakeholders needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness.
Participate in the development of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirement Specifications and Interface Control Documents.
Provide support to the government to establish and follow formal procedures for coordination of system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces.
Ensure system designs effectively address technological solution baselines and implement appropriate processes for incident management, help desk management, and providing proactive and prompt support to customers.
Work as liaison between system requirements owners and development and integration team to ensure proposed solutions will meet requirements and ensure work is aligned with stakeholder's highest
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 10 years of systems engineering experience. A Master's degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 14 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
Must be knowledgeable of and experienced with the technology and process stack for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving a service management system.
Experience providing systems engineering support to software development efforts.
Experience in requirements elicitation, functional analysis, and requirements deconstruction/decomposition.
Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
