  Description

  As a System Consultant for UKG, you will be responsible for delivering high quality Development and System/Application Consulting Services to our customers, striving to identify system and process improvements to enrich the service experience for clients and internal teams. In this role you will manage and lead technical initiatives and projects which will require you to employ HR/Payroll system and application experience in various ways, utilizing SQL, data mapping, testing, analytical, and design skills. Candidates will possess an advanced knowledge of payroll and human resource concepts and regulations and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, exciting environment.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize system application and consulting experience to guide internal and external customers to the best possible end solution

  • Utilize internal tools and documentation to promote efficiency and standardization

  • Provide input on methodology and process improvements

  • Partners with business owners, team members and other key personnel across various departments to plan, develop and manage technical projects, making sure documentation exists and is available

  • Serves as primary point of contact for technical projects and system escalations by service team, working closely with HRIS resources

  • Identify appropriate resources to assist in completing technical projects and release testing.

  • Lead Technical project meetings and participate in regular team meetings/activities, as appropriate

  • Responsible for overseeing and consolidating overall project status reporting, communicating project status, risks, and options to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Provide internal training sessions to the team on new product related issues and ever-changing industry standards and practices

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Provide subject matter expertise and best practice guidance to the customer

  • Provide analytical and design expertise; system configuration; data mapping; testing and customer support of live payroll processing

  • Provide timely follow-up and resolution of open project-related items

  • Meet project task milestone and due dates

  • Achieve positive customer satisfaction outcomes

  • Work collaboratively with customers and team members to achieve desired project results

  Qualifications

  Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of software implementation experience

  • 3+ years of HR and/or payroll experience

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL query and Transactional SQL; extensive use of SQL to troubleshoot and correct errors with user permissions, custom interfaces, and SQL jobs and to identify and resolve data issues

  • 3+ years of experience in successfully leading and managing multiple medium to large size key technical projects, with varying complexity

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Configuration, testing, & data mapping experience

  • Experience with UltiPro/UKG Pro or other HCM software

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing requirements, processes, tools, and resources

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues

  • Strong time management and organizational skills to deliver on multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and consulting skills

  • APA (FPC and CPP) and SHRM (PHR SPHR) certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Web Services and web API development is a “nice to have”

  • Experience with XML files and Automated Import Web Service

  Pay Transparency for Colorado, New York, Washington and California

  The pay range for this position in Colorado, New York, Washington and California is $68,100 to $97,900, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.

  San Francisco Bay Area Pay Law

  There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area, the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $76,820 to $110,343 per year.
