General Description:
Reports directly to the Materials Management Head and requires effective leadership, coaching and performance management of direct reports. This position will be responsible for all warehouse operations from Receiving, and Shipment and including Weigh and Dispense of raw materials for Biologics Production.
Requires working closely with Drug Substance and Drug Product departments. This role will have 3-5 direct reports with the opportunity for career development to oversee potentially 6-12 technicians and specialists.
Core Responsibilities/Experience:
Warehouse Material Management for Bio-pharm experience or Life Sciences background.
Weigh and Dispense using IBC devices or large powder containment experience, not required but preferred.
Ability to author, review, and update SOP’s, MBRs, WI’s, Forms & Training documents
Manage inventory for Warehouse through SAP, WMS etc.
Deviation and CAPA Management is preferred, not required.
Experienced working in GMP or cGMP
Experience handling temperature sensitive materials and understands sense of urgency
Must have excellent communication and writing skills
Provide daily on-hand support to all functional teams, as needed
Supports any budgeting requests/activities, reporting etc. needed by Supply Chain Leadership
Supports strategy planning for the Warehouse or any other process improvement efforts
Demonstrates to be a team player and will step in when needed to get the job done
Participate in any CQV related activities including documentation preparation and execution
Experienced working within an ERP or WMS, or inventory management software to support warehouse operations
Participate in and support on-site supervision and management of contract employees or third-party vendors as required by BeiGene
Build functional teams within Warehouse to support Manufacturing operations
Core Competencies, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Bachelors with 4+ years of experience or Associates Degree with 6+ years of experience
Experience in using IBC powder bags is preferred and developing and managing the overall weigh and dispense process and program.
SAP Experience would be preferred
Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry operations, is preferred.
Computer Skills: Veeva, SAP or ERP experience and Microsoft office (Excel, Word) is preferred
Other Qualifications:
Weigh and Dispense experience is a must for this position.
Ability to manage projects and make deliverables on time and on budget.
Travel: 5%
