Job Description :
This is an electrical engineering design position responsible for developing hardware within the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) Segment of L3Harris. This team, located in the San Diego, CA facility, is responsible for the design, build, and validation of custom transceivers.
Essential Functions:
Review and understand all Statement of Work (SOW), specification and data requirements applicable to a project.
Develop system block diagrams, flow diagrams and concepts/specifications for the detailed hardware design phase of the project.
Actively participate in design tasks for the development of subsystems or modules; perform design analysis and conduct breadboard, and prototype hardware/software testing as required.
Create and review specifications, interface control documents, proposals, manuals, classified documents, and white papers.
Conduct proof testing of all designs; develop test plans and generate factory Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
Develop custom cables and harnesses, circuit boards (analog and digital)
Participate in design reviews.
Debug non confromances utilizing knowledge of RF, analog, and digital design
Support transition of engineering designs to production
Qualifications :
BSEE/BSCE or related Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
6 years industry experience with electronic parts and systems in analog and digital environments. This includes digital/AC/DC circuit modeling experience.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Experience working with lab and test measurement tools including RF/Wireless lab equipment
Experience with digital, analog, and RF design and analysis, including microprocessor architecture, programmable logic, memory, discrete digital logic, etc.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Working knowledge of RF fundamentals and communication theory.
Capable of detailed circuit and/or software design.
