Job Description As a TEL Manufacturing & Engineering America (TMEA) Sourcing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing the business case for change. As part of the role, the Senior Sourcing Engineer will clarify goals, own actions, gain resources and present project status updates for proposed projects to a variety of audiences. Scope of work includes; familiarity with project plans, milestones identification, risk analysis, trade-off communication and financial acumen. The Senior Sourcing Engineer will be responsible to support the Supply Chain Solutions team on finding additional cost savings opportunities in four major enablers, but not limited to: Robust Supply Chain, Manufacturing Transfers, Value Engineering, and Value Stream Improvement Program by leveraging candidate experience and knowledge in Lean-Sigma tools and PMP best practice, in order to increase our current reliability & future cost savings pipeline. The Senior Sourcing Engineer and project team will collaborate with suppliers to design, characterize, develop and qualify high capability processes supporting downstream manufacturing and customers. This critical role will deliver comprehensive operational strategies committed to achieving process capability through the systematic application of six-sigma to achieve value stream stability and Lean to achieve the shortest possible lead time by eliminating all forms of waste to optimize the value stream lead-time and performance. Job Responsibilities TMEA Change Management expert by influencing decision makers, task owners and stakeholder to manage change and communication in pursuit of enterprise goals. Quality System Compliance understanding and adherence to ensure processes consistently fulfill requirements and meet customer needs. Project Leadership though the discipline of initiating, planning, executing and controlling the work of a cross functional team to achieve defined goals and meet success criteria within the given constraints. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Estimates manufacturing cost determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Applying Lean concepts and continuous improvement mindset to eliminate waste in the value creation process and controlling variation by reducing the probability that an error or defect will occur. Value Analysis/Value Engineering as a systematic process to creatively assess and generate alternatives to identify essential functions at the greatest value; as well as improve output by using rigorous examination of function. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience Preferred Requirements B.S. or M.S. required in Engineering; PMP certification a plus. 7 years product, process manufacturing or supply chain quality engineering experience leading cross functional projects. A proven track record in the delivery of large and complex product transfer projects to time and budget within a regulated environment. Lean and/or Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification. Experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing technology or Capital Equipment Manufacturing preferred Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, often across different sites and geographies. Broad understanding of product/part development processes compliant with QSR and ISO 9001 (or similar). Profi ient in formal project management applications to develop schedules, allocate resources and establish program budgets. A self-motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to convey business and technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and technical teams in a clear and concise manner. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of interdisciplinary teams. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
