The Data Center Solutions Architect role will act as a strategic pre-sales engineering resource for data center and hybrid cloud solutions from market-leading manufacturers like Dell-EMC, Cisco and VMware.Successful candidates must be "thought-leader" in the area of next-generation data center technologies and understand how Presidio can add value through these solutions for our clients. Candidates should have a strong, proven IT background, a passion for solving business problems with technology, and familiarity with the broad range of products and solutions.The majority of time for this position is spent meeting with customers at their locations and working remotely, so the successful candidate will not need to report to a Presidio office. The job is focused primarily in the Pittsburgh area.Travel Requirements:In this role you will be expected to travel up to 25%. within the region. It will be based in Pittsburgh, PAKey Responsibilities:Meet with Presidio's customers, collecting requirements for infrastructure solutions relating to data center and hybrid cloud solutions.Present and explain technologies to customers, guide them through requirements gathering and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering servicesCreate detailed solutions designs/architecture and present to customersCreate Bill of Materials & Configurations for solutionsWork with Account Manager/Sales Team to develop customer relationships and solutions to assist in the sales processCreate Customer facing Presentations and perform product demonstrationsBuild Scope of Services, Task Lists and Professional Service PricingCollaborate with vendor peersRequired Skills:Strong Experience with Dell EMC (Servers, Storage and Data Protection), Cisco (servers & FC switching) and/or VMWare (virtualization and SDDC)Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) experience with VxRail, HyperFlex and/or NutanixProven design, sizing and implementation experience with server compute, data protection and storage solutions.Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizationsAdditional Desired Skills:Presales experienceData Protection experience with Veeam, Rubrik or Cohesity.AWS and/or Azure experience and certifications.Enterprise Networking knowledge and experience (Cisco/Juniper)Prior experience working for a system integrator or consulting organizationExperience migrating an on-premise to on-premise environments or on-premise to any cloud environmentBasic knowledge of automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc)Basic knowledge of container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience7+ years of architecting and implementing complex Data Center solutions
