  Job Overview

  A fantastic opportunity to join Industrial Business Unit, Active Portfolio Management (APM) PMO team. APM program is a strategic initiative that will empower the business to improve focus, create scalability and therewith enable us to be a better partner for our customers and provide them an extraordinary customer experience. The Sr. Project Manager will be reporting to the APM PMO leader with responsibility to work together with various functions within assigned sub-vertical and the central functional teams to drive the successful performance of defined methods to achieve the set efficiency targets. Additionally develop acumen of running active portfolio management for business and be the continuous improvement champion to build a sustainable process.

  Responsibilities

  • All aspects of Project Management from project inception to completion.

  • Exerts influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of Active Portfolio Management.

  • Develop a deep understanding of system dependencies, data sources, granularity, availability, and limitations.

  • Act as a change agent within the business to drive standardization of APM process.

  • Collaborate with relevant sub-vertical Product Managers, Engineering Teams, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Marketing, Product compliance and other stakeholders to gain the necessary understanding and consensus to drive for decisions and execute delineated actions.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations. Setting up cadence with stakeholders for smooth execution of projects.

  • Develop/ follow existing tracking mechanisms and provide timely status reporting to stakeholders, drive improvements based on the business requirements and advise of any potential abnormality, gaps, or risk.

  •Working with global multi-disciplinary teams to modify codes (material type, sales status, portfolio status, etc.) in central part management systems.

  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors globally in close alignment with the business owners (e.g. Sales, Procurement, etc.) to send out product change notice, drive the required external actions related to these changes (e.g. last time buys, etc.) and communicate other important messages related to APM program.

  Desired Candidate Profile

  • BE/BTech (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics / Industrial Engineering) with minimum 6+ of work experience.

  • 4 – 6 years of Project / Product Management experience in electronic / electrical equipment or similar industry.

  • Project/ Product Management Certification desirable, PMP or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information to ensure successful implementations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (internal and external).

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to disseminate critical information appropriately at all levels internally and externally.

  • In depth understanding/ Exposure of Stage Gate process in Product development

  • Independent Self-starter able to work effectively in a cross functional environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and a solid understanding of relational databases.

  • Experience in effective project management strategies and tactics.

  • Exposure to product management, manufacturing & supply chain processes.

  • Proficient with MS office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experienced in Microsoft Project Online Applications preferred.

  • Intercultural competence and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Experience generating reports and presenting the results to stakeholders at different levels.

  • Prior experience working in a matrix organization with collaborative relationships across multiple teams situated globally.

  • Knowledge of central part/ master data/ product data/ lifecycle management tools.
