Description

We are looking to add a Sr. Accountant to our team located in Passaic County, New Jersey. In this role, you will be focusing on the US, Latin America, and Canada regions, ideally with both international and domestic accounting experience. This position is in the retail industry, and experience in this sector, especially with leases across multiple locations and countries, would be advantageous. Opportunity for growth. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting operations for the entire America's region.

• Handle lease agreements across different countries.

• Employ your strong technical skills for process improvement initiatives.

• Provide mentorship to Staff and Entry Level Accountants.

• Utilize your experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Maintain the general ledger and manage journal entries.

• Use SAP for various accounting operations.

• Oversee the month-end close process.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Applicants must have knowledge of Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in General Ledger management is necessary

• Ability to perform Journal Entries is essential

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with Month End Close is a must

• IFRS and GAAP experience

• Retail experience required

• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
