Overview
GovCIO is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our Health Portfolio Operations team to support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Program Coordinator will support the administrative functions of the Health Portfolio Operations Manager. The environment is dynamic, and client needs are often evolving. As such, thought leadership, problem-solving, rapid learning, and carrying the innovative mindset needed to lead our clients through conceptualization, strategic planning, and execution is important. Additionally, flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success. This is a United States based, fully remote position with core hours of operation from Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM ET.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support to the VA Health Portfolio Operations Manager in executing operational activities, reporting, and additional duties as assigned.
Capture and monitor action items, follow up with action owners to ensure resolution, and produce and communicate meeting minutes.
Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational slides and reports to track risks, metrics, and status updates.
Manage peer reviews of work products, process documents, and presentation slides.
Store official program data, documents, and artifacts per VA directives.
Identify and manage risks and issues impacting progress and favorable outcomes.
Assist in identifying and managing risks and issues impacting Portfolio Operations objectives.
Understand existing processes and provide recommendations for improvements in documents, presentations, memorandums of understanding, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Support change management strategies for program objectives.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Take the lead on small projects.
Support all efforts to communicate changes and reduce their impact on the program.
Communicate clearly with team members, stakeholders, and participants.
Understand stakeholder needs and expectations.
Support fast turnaround requests for data by understanding the request and obtaining information from the appropriate individuals.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of program activities and decisions.
Assist in planning and organizing events, conferences, and meetings, handling conference packages from initiation to closeout.
Create and maintain event schedules, timelines, and agendas.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, computer science, information systems, operations, research, or related fields and relevant certifications plus 5 years of relevant experience; 5-7 years of additional experience may be substituted for education
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Effective time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills for process evaluation and improvement.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficient in risk management and issue resolution.

Proficient with MS Office Suite, MS Teams, and workflow management.
Experienced with IT-related projects.
Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience with Veterans Affairs or other government agencies.
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills for assessing process effectiveness.
Proficiency in life cycle and project management methodologies.
Familiarity with VA-centric applications like JIRA, and ServiceNow.
Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain/maintain a suitability/public trust clearance.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $95,000.00 - USD $106,000.00 /Yr.
