Amentumis looking for aSenior Electrical Engineerto join our team inMcLean, VA.Provides engineering expertise in support of a wide range of transportation and logistics related efforts. The SeniorElectrical Engineeris responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of electrical systems within a large facility and in leased buildings. Interface with the Operations and Maintenance Personnel to assess electrical infrastructure conditions and mitigate risks. Support the development of maintenance programs and long-term recapitalization plans. Coordinate the work of OandM technicians to assure the quality and reliable of all electrical operations including optimizing equipment maintenance plans and schedules.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Security Clearance. This position will be on-site only (no remote or hybrid work) in McLean, VA location.
Essential Responsibilities:
Electrical Distribution Systems up to 13.8kv (i.e. 15kv Switchgear and Distribution; 5kv Switchgear and Distribution; Transformers; Motor Control CentersUninterruptable Power Systems (UPS) (i.e. Static Switches and Maintenance Bypass Configuration, Operation and MaintenanceEmergency Power Generation (i.e. Gas/ Diesel Generators)Monitor and Control Systems (i.e. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC); Building Automation (BAS); Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA)Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently providing supervision of contributing engineers.Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5-7 years engineering experience.Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) preferably in an electrical engineering discipline.Experience in design and/or operation of commercial buildings systems. Such as: high, medium and low voltage electrical power distribution systems; electrical generators; uninterruptible power systems; and monitor and control systems.Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team in a very high quality and reliability technical environment.Familiarity with facility safety and fire protection systems, and with quality control programs.Experience must also include all phases of engineering support including problem formulation/specification, system design, data collection, systems engineering and analysis, problem resolution, and documentation of results.Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.Position may require a small amount of local travel.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Security Clearance.
