About Sr. Product Manager-Tech, Amazon Photos, Alexa Experiences

  Description

Amazon Photos helps consumers preserve and re-live their memories. The service comes with unlimited photo storage for Prime members and apps/experiences are available on Echo Show, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, iOS, Android, Web, and Desktop. Amazon Photos is the latest digital offering to consumers released on the heels of the Amazon Music and Amazon Video offerings. We have ambitious goals to scale growth and adoption of the service around the world and delight our customers with a great product.

We have been growing as a business and now we are growing as a team. We are looking to add a Senior Product Manager - Technical (PM-T) to the Product Management team to own Photos experiences on Amazon Devices (Echo Show & Fire TV).

  Who you are:

You love products and you love the art of Product Management. More than anything, you love inventing on behalf of customers. You are looking for a place to apply your experience as a human-focused inventor and to learn from a team of other Product leaders. You love to learn by diving deep into both customer behaviors and tech, and you use this superpower of dive deep to deliver results. Beyond a love of your craft, you also love the idea of making products that help customers preserve, relive, and share their photos and other memories.

Given this role is a more technical product role (aka “Product Manager - Technical”), you are also someone who has worked close to the software development process (as an engineer or working closely with an engineering team), contributing to technical and architectural decisions which impact the short, medium, and long-term success of your products.

  Key job responsibilities

You will have a lot of responsibility as the first Product hire in our rapidly growing Mexico office. You will work directly with a full-stack Engineering team and UX design team that has team members in Mexico City, Seattle, and Vancouver.

As the Senior PM-T for photos on Amazon Devices, you define and implement the vision of how customers experience their family’s personal photos on their Echo Show and Fire TV devices.

You will own the roadmap for how customers view and interact with their personal photos on Amazon's smart screens.

You will build and improve the photos feature set for the millions of devices already in customers’ homes and for new devices that have not yet been announced.

  About the team

The Amazon Photos Product & Design team is comprised of Product Management, Design, and Product Marketing practitioners with experience ranging from 1 to 18 years in the field. Prior to joining this team, we have come from many disciplines, different sized companies, and at least 5 countries. We share a passion for solving the problems Amazon Photos solves for our customers, for learning to be better at our craft and for becoming a center of excellence in Product Management and Customer-centered Design at Amazon.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Mexico City, DIF, MEX

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Experience managing technical products or online services

Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

An ability to write clearly and specifically

Agility with self-service analytics tools (e.g., SQL or Tableau) or an eagerness to learn

  Preferred Qualifications

Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  Experience working on consumer products
