  About Platform Services within Consumer Digital & Platforms...

  At WBD, we seek to ignite people's curiosity to engage, entertain, and enlighten the world around them through amazing viewing experiences. The CD&P Platform Services group builds and operates a core suite of applications and services to support a large footprint of our fan-centric brands - Bleacher Report, CNN, NCAA, March Madness, TBS, TNT, TruTV, Food Network, Cooking Channel, and many more. Our core tech platform includes Live Streaming, VOD, Video Player, Media Services, Identity, Entitlements, Billing, Search, CMS integrations, Operations, and more.

  The Ideal Candidate...

  Are you an experienced, self-motivated technology leader who enjoys driving product strategy and prioritization across business stakeholders, program managers, and engineering teams?

  We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Tech to lead the product direction for the future evolution of our multi-faceted platform powering our brand experiences. You will define our product roadmap and prioritize feature capabilities across multiple platform areas - live video, video on demand, video players on web/mobile/connected platforms, playback services, user authentication, payment processing, asset/metadata syndication, and operational readiness.

  This role requires more emphasis on the technical expertise side than traditional product management roles. You will need intricate knowledge of video transcoding workflows, video players, user authentication, user entitlements, payment processing, CMS integrations, and operational tooling. Proficiency with software engineering methodologies is required - systems architecture, data models, APIs, production stability, and knowledge of device platforms.

  The Senior Product Manager - Tech will collaborate with several key groups on product vision alignment, feature prioritization, and requirements definition. These groups include business stakeholders across WBD brands, executive technology leaders, engineering teams, and program management. Influence and collaboration skills are critical for this role. Alignment with buy-in across cross-functional teams will be key for successful work definition and delivery.

  Your Role Accountabilities...

  Develop product strategy and roadmap for a WBD tech platform focused on a vast set of feature areas - live streaming, video on demand, playback workflows, AuthN/AuthZ, billing, content moderation, search operational tooling, and other core areas.Prioritize product capabilities and platform gaps based on a deep understanding of customer needs, monetization opportunities, experience quality, and industry trends.Define core technical feature requirements to cover experience functionality, end-to-end system integrations, content workflows, metadata ingestion, and operational readiness.Work closely with Engineering teams to translate product needs into team-level deliverables with work effort estimates and technical risks.Define and drive product success metrics (KPIs) for platform quality metrics, video playback experience, brand integration complexity, and cost optimization.Build strong relationships with WBD brand stakeholders to understand their business direction for short-term opportunities and long-range planning.Stay knowledgeable on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for platform evolution in core technology areas.

  Qualifications & Experience...

  BS/MS in technical field or commensurate work experience.5+ years in a technical product manager or product owner role.Deep understanding of media workflows, video playback, ad insertion, AuthN/AuthZ, billing gateways, data models, cloud architecture, and AVOD/SVOD deliver pipelines.Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies to manage product backlogs, stack rank features, and plan work in phased iterations for committed deadlines.Strategic decision maker to advance technical platform for multiple media brands, with ability to be dig into technical architecture, metadata strategy, and media workflows.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with software engineering teams, program leads, and executive leadership at all levels.Capable of working in a fast-paced media environment with highly complex projects and requirements/scope flexibility to adapt to business and technical direction changes.
