Description

　　Our client, a national plaintiffs’ law firm located in Northern NJ and recently awarded "Best Law Firms" by Best Lawyers 2024 for their Mass Tort and Class Action Practice, is seeking a Sr. Litigation Paralegal.

　　DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with legal filings/briefing and the cite-checking/Blue-Booking process; uses best practices to proficiently and accurately cite-check formal papers/legal memoranda

　　• Responsible for Federal ECF-filing

　　• Factual research and development, utilizing electronic research tools

　　• Supports trial preparation efforts, including creating trial notebooks, identifying and organizing exhibits, working with witness schedules, maintaining trial calendars and deadlines

　　• Works with external sites, downloading data and storing files using established naming conventions

　　• Proofread and compile briefs and other legal documents

　　• Drafts routine correspondence and legal documents (e.g., proofs of service, complaint civil cover sheets, subpoenas, notices of appearance, and pro hac vice admission papers)

　　• Maintains document databases, updates files

　　• Assists with activities/project work assignments as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

　　Requirements

　　SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

　　• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation

　　• High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively

　　• Ability to prioritize workload, adapt to a fast-paced environment

　　• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization

　　• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional, collaborative team

　　• Critical thinker, with the ability to shift priorities and manage change with a positive outcome

　　MUST have “going to trials” experience, not just prepping for a trial

　　Must be willing to travel domestically, not just within NJ when needed (we often settle cases but not always)

　　At least 8 years+ of experience as a Litigation Para
