  Opportunity

  Senior Market Analyst, Channel, Builder, Projects & Specs Faucets is responsible for executing tactics and strategic marketing activities. This involves developing and implementing marketing strategies, programs, and sales tool kits. This individual is responsible for identifying customer needs and business opportunities within those channels and developing programs to drive sales. Once developed, the Channel Manager is responsible for the launch, implementation, and administration of these programs inclusive of forecast, performance, and product mix. This role also shares in creating the strategic direction and management of key managed channels, has specific channel responsibility for Faucets KBNA business, has P&L responsibility and financial planning accountability.

  In this role, you will seek to

  Develop and drive initial strategic marketing activities.

  Seen as expert within the department and within the categories of responsibility.

  Assist in developing business objectives.

  Key player in the forecasting processes for product lines

  Act as a champion in carrying out and communicating management’s strategies and goals throughout the business.

  Possess in-depth competitor and market share understanding.

  Demonstrate high-level presentation/communication skills.

  Work across functional areas to see the “big picture.”

  Set strong examples through work product, attitude, technical skills, and project management tools/philosophies used.

  Understand channels of distribution and own communication to the customers

  Specific Responsibilities

  Contribute to the growth and profitability of the business by identifying, recommending, and implementing the most high-growth strategies for the business via long-term marketing strategies and short-term marketing plans.

  Build and maintain marketing strategies and key stakeholder relationships that ensure Kohler Company meets and/or exceeds the end customer’s needs, demands, and desires while delivering an appropriate margin.

  Analyze point of sale reports to understand the success of merchandising/POP/sales tools and identify opportunities for improvement, including assortment planning.

  Develop programs for customers to drive sales. Recommend revision to programs and/or product line extensions or discontinuation through study of overall business.

  Plan, forecast, and implement marketing programs and promotions for the channel based on performance, profitability, and volume contribution analysis.

  Deploy special promotions, buying opportunities, rebate programs, and ongoing support of programs for product categories, market segments, advertising/outreach, and assigned customers.

  Prepare annual and long-term demand forecasts and make recommendations accordingly.

  Maintain continuous contact with customers, sales, trade groups and awareness of competitive products, pricing, performance, and market share including trends in product design, architecture, interiors, living environments, etc.

  Serve as a liaison between sales and product management. Work with product management to analyze and evaluate the performance of product categories.

  Participate and assist the managers in planning, developing, and implementing trade shows, conventions, and meetings.

  Demonstrate appropriate level of competency in the following areas: Drive Continuous Improvement, Set High Standards of Performance, Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Business Acumen, Management of Self, Management/Development of Others, Focus on the End Customer, and Build Trust.

  Skills/Requirements

  Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.

  2-5 years of prior experience in sales, marketing, channel management, and/or product development with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results.

  Seeking a keen analytical mind, strong on planning, detail, and accuracy, and a demonstrably creative thinker!

  We are also seeking strong written and oral communication skills with all levels of management and with outside contacts.

  Travel to trade shows, manufacturing plants, and customer visits as needed, approximately 30%.

  Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

  The salary range for this position is $74,000 - $93,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
