  Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition:

  I n the role of Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition, you will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Revenue Operations and will be a subject matter expert assisting in leading a team responsible for providing technical accounting analyses of revenue contracts and for ensuring worldwide revenue streams are recognized in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. The position will act as a global partner to multiple organizations, providing critical revenue accounting guidance and support for key business initiatives. The position will also have responsibility for managing significant internal process re-engineering and system enhancement projects. This position may also be responsible for management, mentoring and career development of team members in the future.

  Responsibilities:

  Own the company’s revenue recognition policy and ensure proper accounting treatment is in place for all revenue arrangements. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reports from SAP, NetSuite & various financial systems.

  Ensure revenue recognition in company financials is in accordance with US GAAP, including but not limited to evaluating multiple-element arrangements and customer incentives.

  Understand and apply revenue accounting guidance to interpret revenue arrangements, assess and summarize revenue implications, and document conclusions on revenue recognition treatment for all arrangements in accordance with US GAAP.

  Evaluate and document the revenue impact of unusual and infrequent transactions in accordance with US GAAP, manage external auditor review and concurrence and communicate accounting impact internally as requested.

  Own and manage monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close efforts, including cut-off procedures and preparation / review of auditable product and support for revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations.

  Own and manage preparation of SEC filing schedules including review and understanding of guidance and application of same to support external financial reporting.

  Responsible for ensuring that fair values for all of the Company’s products and services are analyzed on a timely basis and the results are accurately reflected in the various accounting systems.

  Maintain control documentation in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley for revenue related processes and key controls.

  Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and recommending efficiency and effectiveness improvements. Work with IT to prioritize system enhancements and development projects related to revenue.

  Research accounting guidance and facilitate technical accounting memos that analyze and conclude on accounting issues and its impact on company financials. Analyze and interpret accounting standards to support new business requirements.

  Prepare audit PBC schedules and liaise with external auditors regarding revenue and proactively resolve all revenue-related issues.

  Work collaboratively with Managers, Sr. Managers and Directors within the Revenue team to ensure appropriate revenue accounting and reporting throughout the contract life cycle.

  Work collaboratively with Sales, Sales Finance, Legal, Marketing and Engineering organizations to provide guidance and to ensure compliance with revenue recognition rules and proper revenue recognition treatment.

  Own and/or perform special projects as needed.

  Required Knowledge and Skills:

  A comprehensive understanding of, and the ability to, apply revenue recognition guidance, particularly ASC 606, ASC 842 and guidance impacting the accounting for multiple element arrangements.

  Experienced in writing complex technical accounting position papers.

  Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  6 to 8 years of progressive experience in accounting

  Preferred Qualifications:

  CPA

  4+ years’ public accounting experience

  2+ years of experience with SAP

  8+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting

  2+ years of people management experience

  Travel:

  Up to 15%Base compensation salary range (CA Based): $126,690 - $160,474.
