Reference #: R13865BASIC PURPOSE: The purpose of this role is to drive and manage the operational excellence (continuous improvement) aspects of the IT infrastructure operations and application support function. This role will prioritize the Managed Service Provider (MSP) outcomes, improvement opportunities and overall health of the MSP relationship. Other duties will focus on the business aspects of the IT infrastructure and application support function such as budgets/purchase orders, reporting, Statement of Work (SOWs), policy creation, updates and adherence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Setup and manage IT Operational Excellence function.Oversee MSP contracts, SLAs, KPIs, reporting, performance, monthly billing, overage, penalties, and associated process.Meet daily/weekly with MSP on performance, ticket backlog and service improvement opportunities.Build and maintain a productive partnership with the MSP account team and team members.Manage monthly MSP reporting calls.Work closely with IT infrastructure service delivery leads on MSP improvements.Manage SOW (Scope of Work) and RFP (Request for proposal) process for function.Work with Clario procurement management function to ensure all software and hardware contracts are renewed on-time and with favorable pricing.Identifies and executes cost reduction opportunities around software/hardware spend.Manage software asset, inventory, software audit exercise and response process.Manage software portfolio including Microsoft, AWS, etc. for major software suppliers and oversee activity through a formal portfolio management process.Work closely with procurement team on any new or existing contracts and negotiation.Participates in and makes recommendations for CAPEX and OPEX budgets.Work effectively with stakeholders and senior leadership to manage outcomes in line with IT expectations and collaborate with various teams including IT, Procurement, Finance, R&D, Vendors, Managed Service providers.Host daily, weekly & monthly meetings to provide visibility to IT leadership on overall spending and trends.Create weekly, monthly & quarterly Spend Dashboard, and review it with the leadership & stakeholders.Ability to conduct IT TPRM (Third Party Risk Management) principles and best practices.Provides first line support for Clario on any incoming IT Contract, and SOW request.Ensure MSP complies with Clario's Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Familiarity with visualization and user interface technologies.Effectively present to a variety of audiences through use of various mediums such as whiteboarding, phone and video conference, etc.Comfortable engaging at all levels of a customer's business and leadership teams
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:
Education:BS degree required, with IT technical background highly desired.Experience:5+ years of experience in managing vendor management, supplier and Managed Service Providers (MSP).Prior experience in setting up and managing IT Operational Excellence function for medium to large size IT organization.Prior experience in managing Managed Services provider and managing contracts, SOW, SLA, Reporting and exception process.Prior experience in managing major software suppliers including Microsoft, Oracle, ServiceNow, RedHat, VMware, AWS etc.Prior experience in contract negotiation, Request for Proposal (RFP) & Scope of Work (SOW) development and executionPrior experience in managing Software contracts, Software Asset Management, and IT Budgets.Ability to conduct IT TPRM principles and best practices.Ability to provide and manage the day-to-day vendor and contract activities to ensure desired outcomes.Solid understanding on Enterprise IT Infrastructure including Operating Systems, Servers, Storage, backup, Firewall, VPN, Routers, Switches, Load Balancer, Authentication, Cloud - IAAS/PAAS/SAAS etc.Solid understanding on E terprise Application including COTS (Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce etc), Homegrown (Java, .NET, PHP based), Database (MS SQL, Oracle, MYSQL, Postgres etc).Solid understanding on IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and best practices including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, CMDB).Ability to create Executive Summary, Reports & Dashboard, and present presentations to Senior leadership.Must have excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Word.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.The Department Head has the discretion to hire personnel with a combination of experience and education, which may vary from the above listed qualifications.
