The Role

Engineers are expected to identify and design solutions for issues involving: new features, interoperability, vulnerability, system limits and constraints facing the platforms and products. In addition, engineers are responsible to evaluate current capabilities and predict future needs, then work with internal stakeholders, vendors and peers to anticipate, define, and pursue these capabilities.

A successful engineer is a strong communicator and relationship builder, who uses soft skills to persuade stakeholders to: achieve consensus, obtain commitment, and take action. The engineer is a de-facto leader in the organization and is committed to directly mentoring junior engineers and technicians, while consistently demonstrating behaviors aligned with our core values.

This position is fully remote in the US.

The Main Responsibilities

Delivering operational support and engineering analysis for Multifactor Authentication, Endpoint Security, Email Security, and Data Loss Prevention capabilities.

Evaluating operational business processes to ensure security is seamlessly integrated.

Identifying potential risks with new applications and products and providing security requirements and recommendations for risk mitigation to support the business in succeeding with their projects.

Engaging directly in advanced troubleshooting and delivery with stakeholders, including end customers, and consulting as a security subject matter expert with network architects, engineers, and others on solutions to security problems.

Recommending new information security systems and controls to counteract emerging threats and risks throughout the company.

Ensuring reports and findings are communicated promptly and appropriately to management, operations, and executive leadership.

Recommending new security policies, standards, best practices, and system configuration guidelines. Consulting with internal clients on security topics and policy interpretations.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

6 years of IT Operations or network engineering experience

Experience in Multifactor Authentication within an enterprise environment

Strong knowledge of networking protocol and traffic analysis

Experience in Splunk log analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Phishing email investigation and analysis

Data Loss Prevention Policy Analysis

Endpoint security troubleshooting and investigation

Ability and commitment to communicate effectively, consistently choose communication methods to ensure critical information reaches and persuades the intended audience

Uses strong interpersonal skills to build partnerships with stakeholders and peers

Possesses leadership qualities and persuades stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes

Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and commitment toward leading peers and stakeholders on critical projects and tasks; making, meeting, and communicating progress.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$80510 - $107340 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$84740 - $112980 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$88980 - $118630 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$93210 - $124280 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
