Description

We are looking for an experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to work onsite for our client in Richfield. The successful candidate will be primarily focused on enhancing the efficiency and compliance of our Fixed Assets module using MRI software. Recent MRI experience is required for this role, preferably in Fixed Assets. This contract engagement is expected to run at least 3 months.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize MRI software to optimize the functionality of the Fixed Assets module

• Establish robust reporting systems and basic controls within the Fixed Assets module

• Implement accounting process automation strategies for improved efficiency

• Ensure the Fixed Assets are maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements

• Provide support to the accounting manager and controller as needed

• Participate in the Month End Close process

• Continually monitor and update customer credit records

• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the real estate industry

• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically MRI Software

• Track record of handling month-end close processes

• Ability to handle fixed asset accounting including additions, retirements, and depreciation

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles related to fixed assets

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Experience in lease accounting would be a plus

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• CPA certification would be advantageous.
