  The Collins Aerospace Integrated Product Support team is seeking an experienced Lifecycle Logistics/Supportability Engineer to perform product support engineering analyses and planning tasks for communication and aviation electronics solutions. Act as a core member of a program Integrated Product Team (IPT) providing product support advice, and oversight. Technical complexity will include identifying requirements for all twelve elements of integrated product support, for electronic communications and complex integrated systems.

  The candidate will work closely with Program Management, Technical Project Managers (TPMs), other Engineering disciplines (software, hardware, electrical, systems, RMS&H) and support staff to assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of the product lifecycle.

  This is an onsite role in Richardson, TX. This role is eligible for relocation.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Work independently and provide guidance to junior team members, including but not limited to performing integrated product support element activities for Programs, Projects, or Products.

  Perform and develop Maintenance Planning / Maintenance Task Analysis.

  Perform Life Cycle Cost/Cost of Ownership Analysis.

  Develop Reliability Centered Maintenance requirements.

  Perform Spares analysis.

  Perform Trade Studies to illustrate cost/benefit of various support scenarios (Time and Material, Firm Fixed Price, Performance Based Logistics).

  Perform trade studies/business case analysis for Support trades through the program’s lifecycle.

  Perform and develop Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).

  Identification of common and peculiar support equipment requirements.

  Interpret engineering drawings to ensure supportability requirements are met.

  Coordinate and lead discussions with project managers and engineering managers on resources and priority to complete required deliverables.

  Provide Supportability Engineering inputs to Logistics Management Information / Logistics Product Data.

  Understand DMSMS drivers, DMSMS management planning, and the evaluation and implementation of DMSMS resolutions.

  Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Prior experience in the aerospace/defense industry required.

  Support modelling experience using Excel and other general modelling and programming tools required.

  Must have maintaining working relationship with Maintainability, Reliability, and Testability functional groups.

  Must have experience working with customers to define requirements.

  Ability to travel 20%.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience with engineering tools such as (Windchill, SlicWave, PowerLog J2, EAGLE, COMPASS, CASA, OPUS, CATLOC, VMETRIC, CAMEO).

  Experience with planning for organizational, intermediate, and depot level repair of electronic equipment.

  The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
