　　The Role

　　This position is for a Sr Network Engineer in Global Operations team hat focuses on supporting Lumenclients, their network infrastructure the entire client lifecycle.

　　The Sr Network Engineer will be responsible for providing operational and technical support andmanaging their network confi guration blueprints for complex solutions in the areas of routing, switching,wireless. The Sr Network engineer would be expected to be hands-on and would be eventual escalationpoint in case of complex issues/outages.

　　The Main Responsibilities

　　Responsible for network and security operational support

　　Leads and provides technical direction as well as hand-on required to resolvecomplex issues to ensure on-time delivery of solutions that meets project expectations.

　　Driving standardization and automation into all aspects of the network platform

　　Resolves diffi cult interoperability problems to obtain operation across all networkplatforms

　　Enabling the extended team’s vitality through training, mentoring, and skills transfer.

　　Be on-call for after-hour escalations and incidents

　　Technical Skills

　　Routing:

　　Cisco ISR/ASR routers / Juniper MX routers

　　In-depth understanding of BGP, OSPF protocols.

　　In-depth understanding of MPLS

　　Must have architect or hand on level expertise on Viptela SD-WAN platform designing

　　Switching

　　Cisco Catalyst /Cisco NXOS/Cisco Meraki Switches/Juniper QFX

　　Juniper MIST

　　In-depth understand of all fl avors of spanning tree

　　Security

　　Fortigate Firewalls /Cisco ASA /Cisco Firepower

　　Must have experience in Palo Alto Prisma

　　In-depth understanding of fi rewall ACLs, groups, NATs

　　Good understanding of next-generation fi rewall features like IDS/IPS, URL fi ltering, SSL decryption,etc.

　　Must have Forescout NAC experience

　　Wireless

　　Cisco Wireless LAN controller and related Access Points

　　Meraki Wireless /Aerohive Wireless

　　Juniper MIST Wireless Cradlepoint LTE for OOB Management

　　Load Balancers

　　F5 Local Traffi c Manager

　　Must have In-depth understanding of load-balancers like SSL offl oad, different type of load-balancingtechniques

　　Scripting/Automation

　　Python scripting to enable automated execution of manual tasks

　　HTML/Javascript to develop basic webpages

　　Good understanding of REST API with use of tools like postman

　　Ansible playbook development

　　Tools

　　Wireshark

　　InfoBlox

　　What We Look For in a Candidate

　　Qualifications

　　5+ years of technical hands-on experience 7+ years of experience with Master’s degree.

　　Experience with next generation firewall technology (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.) desirable

　　Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

　　Excellent communication skills since this role will require regular interaction with clients

　　Open to working shifts (Sunday-Thursday, or Tues-Saturday) with occasional on-call duties

　　Education

　　MS / M Tech / BS / B Tech degree in Computer Science, related technical field preferred, or equivalent work experience.Requisition #: 332066
