About Sr. EE Technical Program Manager, Kuiper Phased Array Antenna TPM Team

  Description

  Project Kuiper’s Technical Program Management team is looking for a detail-oriented, high-energy Senior Technical Program Manager to manage the release and assembly of high complexity PCBAs. You will be a key stakeholder during the development of a new and exciting product. You will be ensuring the product development phases are well defined, planned, and executed.

  Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  Key job responsibilities

  Plan and schedule PCB design releases in line with overall program schedule and cross-team dependencies. Drive alignment on scope.

  Define hardware configurations and allocations based on cross-functional team needs and budget/capacity limitations.

  Build and maintain detailed PCBA release and build readiness plans. Drive and track progress against the plans. Coordinate between cross-functional teams to identify and track dependencies, identify risks and create mitigation plans.

  Maintain alignment with program-level schedule and milestones. Communicate status, risks, and blockers via multiple mechanisms to audiences at all levels.

  Work with a cross-functional team of EEs, MEs, Reliability engineers, CAD engineers, and Manufacturing engineers to resolve complex schedule and technical issues related to designing and building a PCBA. Drive issue resolution at a hands-on level when necessary.

  Create, manage, and track ECOs and deviations. Work with stakeholders and apply judgement to balance speed vs risk.

  Plan and manage PCBA builds at a contract manufacturer at a day-to-day level of detail, balancing stakeholder demands with CM capacity and efficiency. Make sure schedule and quality requirements are met. Work with engineers to resolving blocking manufacturing and quality issues.

  Coordinate PCBA deliveries with in-house assembly team using shared mechanisms.

  Apply project level priorities in ambiguous situations to drive decision making and alignment.

  About the team

  Project Kuiper is an initiative to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world using a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites.

  Redmond, WA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

  8+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  7+ years of experience in program or project management in high tech hardware development.

  10+ years experience working with cross functional teams.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Master's degree in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  Excellent relationship building skills

  Ability to multitask and manage multiple programs efficiently

  Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  Thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a can-do attitude, remain flexible & productive, adept in juggling tasks across multiple programs, proactive

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
