Join our team as a Sr. DesignEngineer, Control Systems - Hybrid. Job Summary Join our team as anElectrical Systems Senior Design Engineer focused on control systems andcomponents. Be an exciting part of the next generation ofHarley-Davidson motorcycles, helping deliver components with criticalimpact on vehicle performance, fuel economy, and shift consistency. Thisposition will own control systems and component design from concept toevaluation and product launch. Specific job responsibilities include:Job Responsibilities Lead Control Module component designs through TierI electrical component partners and approve designs for production.Capture system requirements and develop corresponding control functionalrequirements. Develop component requirements by incorporatingvehicle-level requirements, personal expertise, engineering guidelines,product benchmarking, and input from internal stakeholders. Developverification plans to ensure features are intuitive and robust atproduct launch. Partner with cross-functional team and suppliers to meetprogram and build milestones. Identify risks and propose mitigations.Perform root cause analysis and issue management for control software.Verify component & system performance, resolving any issues along theway, to H-D standards, approve supplier validation, and work with testand verification entities to ensure electrical system meets or exceedstargets. Complete all activity using project management tools andprinciples to deliver on-time and within budget.
