Your Day-to-Day:Support and lead activities associated with TRISO fuel product development for our eVinci MicroreactorLead and own the design for the eVinci Micro Reactor's TRISO-based fuel including fuel manufacturing and input uranium specificationsPerform calculations associated with thermal, stress/mechanical, and failure analysis of fuel components, using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analysesDevelop an in-depth understanding of our TRISO fuel products and act as subject matter expert in fuel testing, fuel qualification, eVinci test reactor design, TRISO fuel logistics, and elements of nuclear core designServe as a subject matter expert on the eVinci fuel product in cross-disciplinary teams, and lead a small team in developing all aspects of the fuel hardware.This role interfaces with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including significant interactions with government and national labs, to ensure that fuel is available for eVinci testing and commercialization.Interface with and influence national laboratory partners, third-party fabricators and uranium suppliers, internal supply chain and materials acquisition representatives, and other project teamsInitiate and follow the procurement of enriched uranium, fuel fabrication services, components for testing, demonstration reactor core, and production reactorsMonitor contracted fuel fabrication supplier for compliance to technical and quality requirements, in conjunction with supply chain management teamSupport TRISO fuel failure and safety analysis, operational phenomena investigations, and fuel qualification and licensing efforts for the eVinci MicroreactorServe as a design and/or review team member on related reactor system project teams considering the integrated ricks and relations to TRISO fuel
Who You Are:As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:Bachelor's degree required, Nuclear Engineering or closely related field preferredMinimum 8 years of applicable experience requiredFuel manufacturing experience, particularly for advanced fuels.
