This role will report up through the manager of Content Design, while their work will be on the employee experience team, specifically working on the Omnichannel Interactions and Views SaaS suite of tools for employees.
Position Summary/Job Description:
The Experience Design (XD) team is an integral part of Product Experience Design at an eCommerce company in the Twin Cities. This is a team that designs and implements innovative, human, end-to-end experiences for our employees and customers. We’re customer-obsessed and grounded in research.
Our diverse scope of work impacts employee and customer experiences across web, app, retail, in-home and communications.
As a Sr. Content Designer in this highly collaborative environment, you’ll partner with teams of Designers, Researchers, Product Managers and Engineers to create compelling experiences.
Your role is pivotal in shaping this client's employee and customer experiences, establishing how our brand voice comes to life, defining human-centric content strategies, and continuously advocating for improved experiences.

• 6+ years of experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer or Experience Designer specializing in writing
• Knowledge of Experience Design principles and deliverables
• Ability to work through complex design solutions and understand underlying technology
• Demonstrable history of storytelling
• Advanced ability to communicate writing and design concepts effectively, build consensus and justify decisions
• Strong skills in organizational savvy, interpersonal communication, time management and high accountability
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
• Be curious, collaborative, self-driven, self-aware, outgoing, and relationship-focused
• 2+ years of experience working in e-commerce or other large design environment
• Have knowledge of SaaS product design
• Experience envisioning, defining and modeling end-to-end, multichannel experiences
• Skilled in balancing an Agile work environment / iterative product development with a cohesive and holistic view of the customer journey
• Basic understanding of designing for WCAG 2.1/508 accessibility standards
