  Discover Impactful Work:

  The Business Manager is the primary owner of the client relationship; and requires detailed understanding the client’s organization and business needs, in order to improve client service and satisfaction. This role will deeply understand the client portfolio, the technical & business requirements, and identify solutions that bridge to the site business strategy.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Develop, maintain, and lead the business relationship with existing and new clients

  Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of clients by acting as a client experience champion in the organization; work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure outstanding customer service

  Lead and facilitate client problem and solution escalation process, serving as a liaison with Site Leadership to ensure effective resolution

  Communicate business issues/risks to leadership, facilitate creation of mitigation plan, and ensure timely execution

  Drive contract compliance; generate new contracts/update existing contracts with input from the Portfolio Manager, Business Development Executives, and site leadership.

  Using business intelligence and client input, participate in sales and operations planning (S&OP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Strategic Plan (STRAP) processes

  Generate changes of scope (COS) for client requests and facilitate timely completion/implementation, as needed

  Find and drive opportunities for revenue & profitability growth through business expansion, technology transfer acceleration, cross-selling, etc.

  Prepare and lead customer meetings, such as business reviews, joint steering committees, etc

  How will you get here?

  Education/Experience

  Bachelors in Science, Business or relevant field is required.

  Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.

  8 years of previous related experience in project management, account management, sales, or marketing with internal/external client-facing responsibilities is preferred

  Equivalent combination of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered

  Knowledge/Skills

  Knowledge of pharmaceutical contract manufacturing industry

  Outstanding client service orientation, interpersonal skills and business insight.

  Superior communication skills, especially while handling challenging situations

  Some understanding of project management principles, with strong analytical and organizational skills to handle contending priorities in a fast paced environment.

  Knowledge of site functions and a deep understanding of the relationships and processes requiring integration among departments within the business.

  Ability to successfully use a range of influencing and leadership styles, situationally dependent.

  Ability to assess situations and make clear, timely decisions, achieving results that support all parties.

  Highly skilled at conflict resolution and negotiation
