Our client is looking to bring on Business Analyst's to support their Bill 93-101 Canadian Business Conducts Program within the Regulatory Business Initiatives Group. As a Business Analyst the ideal candidate should have at least 7 to 10 years of combined business analyst / project experience and team leadership experience. Specific experience in the capital markets businesses and experience liaising with IT are required. This position requires driving changes with cross-functional teams impacting business, technology and corporate support areas (especially Front Office and Operations) within Capital Markets.
This candidate will be responsible for coordination of the project's various workstreams, managing escalations and tracking to the project plan. This role will have executive level interaction through the project Steering Committee.
There is a global impact and it is the first of its kind to impact Canadian Banks. In the US and Europe the have Dodd Frank, SBSD, EMIR, MIFID which Canadian Banks are compliant with and the bulk of the rule can be accommodated by existing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Act as Sr. Business Analyst on all workstreams
Work closely with Technology teams, Product owner, Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Ops etc to develop plan and roadmap for workstreams.
Run weekly working groups and workstream meetings to initially develop project plan and then monitor and deliver
Gather requirements/write BRD's
Liase with vendor and facilitate vendor onboarding and due diligence if required.
Coordinate and present SteerCo update and presentation to executive stakeholders on a monthly basis
Managing cross stream deliverables i.e. several workstreams system replacement or integration.
Managing the BAs, workstream leads, ensuring everything is on track – wants someone that can be hands on.
Deliverable management
Production and/ or review of programme artifacts
Assist with other ad hoc tasks with all workstreams

Required Candidate Experience
1) Sr. Business Analyst - 10+ Experience (extensive project management lifecycle)
Understanding requirements, document requirements, challenge stakeholder, escalation of issues, then governance items
Difference between project constructs like risk vs. an issue
2) Conduct Regime Experience - SBSD or MIFID experience with exposure to record keeping, ISDAs, disclosures for clients, valuation reporting, client statements (MIFID specific), in SBSD they had internal business conduct standard and external business conduct standards etc.
3) Capital Markets Experience
4) Ability to read regulations
