Position Purpose:
The Sr. Analyst of Credit Services position is responsible for managing existing financing programs with third-party lenders and helping create the direction for developing and executing new products/programs for our customers. The role oversees key operational functions of the programs such as store / services training and events, ad hoc reporting, marketing efforts, process support, and contractual amendments. It also partners with IT to identify and implement various process enhancements that improve the customer experience, grow our financing programs, and increase sales.
Responsibilities:
Manage relationships with third-party lenders by coordinating business reviews and partnering with them to analyze various financial metrics and identify areas of opportunity.
Identify and evaluate new financing programs and products that support the needs of current or future customers, or that support new strategic initiatives. Assist with their design, development, prioritization, and implementation based on each initiative’s projected business case.
Oversee the development and execution of detailed project design/ implementation plans. Utilize project management and people management skills to ensure timely completion of projects at the highest quality levels.
Assess financial and operational/quality results of new programs against predetermined goals. Determine whether programs should be rolled out, make recommendations and, if applicable, develop implementation strategies and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
25% Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving - Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensure execution of financial department objectives.
Responsible for preparing annual private label credit card budget for all products and business lines. Conduct financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations.
25% Develop strategies that integrate financial products and services into core businesses and new strategic initiatives.
Own and manage projects to ensure timely completion and highest quality. Develop and execute detailed project design/ implementation plans.
25% Gather and analyze data for presentations for Sr. Management. Provide project support and guidance to other team members. Review and modify/approve their project plans and decisions as needed.
25% Evaluate financial and operational/quality results of new programs against predetermined goals. Determine whether programs should be rolled out, make recommendations to Sr. Management and, if applicable, assist in developing implementation strategies

Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Physical Requirements:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:
An understanding and knowledge of the principles/disciplines of the retail industry, and/or the financial services industry.
Program / Product Management - Ability to manage/coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects. Understands time management skills and uses those skills to deal with unplanned projects and interruptions.
Relationship Management – Ability to serve as the program liaison to numerous internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to win them over as active collaborators in driving the success of key projects. Must be able to network to identify required resources when necessary, and be able to lead collaborative, cross-functional meetings.
Analytical Skills - Ability to leverage data and analysis to craft a well-thought story and business case, and to work with Finance partners to test those hypotheses. Ability to work with Finance partners to respond to requests for ad hoc data, and to request / evaluate ad hoc reporting.
Communication Skills - Ability to draft concise but compelling e-mails and memos, and to verbally deliver presentations and business cases to gain support for prioritization of key strategic initiatives.
Strategic Thinking - Able to think strategically about business problems and opportunities and to focus efforts on projects that most closely support key company initiatives. Ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound decision making skills.
