JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Summary The Senior Accounting Manager willreport to and work closely with the Corporate Controller and others inthe organization in analysis and reconciliation of accounts and indevelopment and implementation of accounting policies, procedures andcontrols. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solidoperational and technical accounting background and works proactively todrive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible and has a highlevel of integrity. Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly financialclose process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properlyrecorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations andreport preparation. Participate in the ongoing development/establishmentof accounting policies and procedures and operational strategiesincluding the review and implementation of process and system changes.Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practicesCollaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit resultsand compliance Prepare and enter various standard journal entries intothe general ledger as part of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closeprocess Assist in the preparation of audits and work with auditors toensure successful audit results and compliance Monitor and analyzeaccounting data and produce financial reports or statements Leadfinancial staff by hiring, training, coaching, and counseling, inaddition to strategy planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.Other duties as assigned Education and/or Experience The positionrequires a Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalency and 5 or more years ofprogressive experience in an accounting leadership Knowledge, Skills andAbilities Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Managing processes Financial software Auditing, accounting, andcorporate finance Financial analysis Strong organizational,communication, and time management skills Strong detail orientationAbility to work independently Ability to identify exceptions and operateindependently to address them Ability to adapt to a rapidly changingwork environment Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieveobjectives Physical Demands Sit, use keyboard, use fine manipulationwith hands and fingers.
