Performs a variety of Electronics Technician support tasks for the Engineering Development Team including: prototype assembly of cables, breadboards, circuit assemblies, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, specialized test equipment, and electronics testing for new and existing products.
Develop test plans and protocols for product development and evaluation, assessment of competitor products, and fault diagnosis.
Solve day to day technical problems associated with routing testing.
Prepare detailed plans to track project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of project goals.
Plan and schedule work to effectively utilize resources and balance testing priorities.
Use mathematical models and statistical techniques to summarize data for trends and conclusions.
Perform battery failure analysis including tear-down.
Employ safe work practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
Report on test outcomes to management and leadership.
Coordinate testing efforts and provide instruction to other professionals to ensure timely and safe test conduct.
Optimize use of plant resources to complete tasks assigned.
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality specifications and standards, regulatory requirements and health and safety practices.
Ensure compliance with ITAR regulations.
Assist business development in expanding product offerings.
Special projects as assigned to support business requirements in the organization or to promote personal growth.
Execute other duties as assigned by management.

WORK PERFORMED:Coordinates and actively participates in all activities associated to prototype builds and proto part procurement.

electrical component removal and replacement on PCBAs and FCAs
build and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical test equipment
assembly of electronic breadboards
execute on product test plans outlined by engineers
wire up products to be tested with monitoring test equipment
program and operate temp and humidity chambers
operate electrical test equipment; DVMs, O-scopes, Function Generators, ESD Guns, Power Supplies
Help to maintain Electronics Lab; keeping lab organized, test equipment calibrations current, and maintaining sufficient stock of component parts.
* Job Requirements (Minimum: Required Skills and Competencies, Years of Experience, Certifications / Licenses, etc…)
Minimum of 2 years Electronics Technician experience, preferably in cable and circuit board assembly in a development environment.
Capable of reading a schematic and building a circuit that matches the schematic. Working knowledge in the proper use of electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analyzers, environmental test chambers, and current probes. Proficient in the following skills such as soldering for through hole and SMT circuit assembly and repair, and cable harness assembly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must as well as strong organizational skills.
