DYNAMIC SENIOR ACCOUNTANT OPPORTUNITY WITH GROWTH POTENTIAL

Anna Parson at Robert Half is seeking a sharp, smart, analytical Sr. Accountant to join a dynamic accounting department in the Hauppauge area.

As the Sr. Accountant, you will:

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries to maintain precise financial records

• Prepare meaningful financial analyses and identify areas to improve efficiency and accuracy

• Prepare management reports, dashboards and presentations

• Support and participate in internal and external audits to ensure transparency and accuracy

• Utilize your advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial statement preparation and variance analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Solid understanding of general ledger management and journal entries.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with month-end close processes.

• Ability to prepare financial statements.

• Experience in variance analysis.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.

• Knowledge of accounting software and systems is preferred.

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision.
