Description We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in Round Rock, Texas. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring adherence to GAAP principles and corporate policies on cost accounting, conducting market research, and developing forecasts and plans. This role also involves analyzing complex financial information related to the organization’s costs, seeking ways to improve the accuracy of budgets and forecasts and to decrease the cost of departments and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to GAAP principles and corporate policies on cost accounting

• Prepare financial reports and various accounting statements

• Post journal entries to the general ledger

• Allocate expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures

• Reconcile bank accounts, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks

• Manage accounts receivable collections and reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, and other financial accounts

• Develop cost standards, inventory valuation methodologies, and product line profit and loss statements

• Develop monthly and annual forecasts and plans

• Interface with the upper-level management in discussing variances and developing forecasts and plans

• Plan study and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor

• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services

• Develop analytics to build forecasts and projections

• Conduct market research to recommend changes to pricing or business models. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Demonstrated expertise in General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures and processes.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software in a manufacturing industry context.

• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, principles, and procedures.

• Proven ability in accurate data entry and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within the manufacturing industry.
