Description We're looking for a skilled, permanent Senior Accountant to join a budding company in the Manufacturing industry in the Omaha, Nebraska area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is based in Omaha, Nebraska with a company in the Manufacturing field.
What you get to do every day
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting,
2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Experience with ERP systems
Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Solid understanding of QuickBooks
Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
Expertise in month end closings
Financial statement preparation experience
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience preferred
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Excellent attention to detail
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
