Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Hybrid Lexington/Georgetown
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Under supervision, you will perform varied and somewhat technical tasks, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting concepts and procedures.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Establish and Maintain Policies: Develop and maintain Corporate Accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate financial reporting by the company, adhering to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Monthly Close: Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
Internal Controls: Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Audit Support: Support annual external financial statement audits and quarterly reviews.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical accounting expertise and conduct research on complex accounting issues.
Financial Review: Conduct monthly financial reviews, including fluctuation analysis. Obtain explanations and report findings to management.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform monthly corporate balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Supervision and Support: Perform varied and somewhat technical work under supervision. Check the work of support or earlier levels of technical or staff workers.
Other Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
3 – 6 years of experience in a related field.
Public accounting and monthly closing experience preferred, but not required.
CPA preferred.

Requirements
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
2+ years of overall general accounting experience
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Deep understanding of Corporate Accounting
Expertise in month end closings
Microsoft Excel experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Must have excellent time management skills
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Excellent oral and written communications skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
