University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a BC/BE Sports Medicine physician to join a multispecialty practice at our M Health Fairview Orthopedics in the northeast and central Twin Cities metro.
M Health Fairview Orthopedics brings multiple specialists together to blend the best in conservative and surgical treatment for bone, muscle and joint problems. These include: General and Subspecialty Orthopedic Surgeons, Podiatrists, Pain Management Providers, Neurosurgeons, Medical Spine (PM&R), Physical Therapists.
This position is part of team of 18 MD/DO’s and 2 APP’s primary care sports medicine providers with M Health Fairview.
Practice Details:
Provide outpatient sports medicine care at M Health Fairview Orthopedics with the support and collaboration of M Health Fairview for more complex cases.
Patient encounters average 20-22 patients per day.
Physicians work collaboratively within a large network of both primary care and specialty physicians throughout M Health Fairview including partners at the University of Minnesota, which includes many subspecialists through an extensive outreach program.
The clinical practice site includes a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
Physicians work an expectation of 36 patient contact hours per week.
Occasional clinical responsibility of one evening per week and 1 in 4 Saturdays, at parent site or other practice sites.
Occasional ‘event’ coverage for sports activities aligned with MHealth-Fairview strategic priorities
Patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to the hospitalist service at M Health Fairview.
Income Details:
2-year market competitive salary with ability to exceed on production compensation program

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Sports Medicine fellowship training program and Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff.
Understands and places importance on patient care/service.
