Here’s your chance to join our award-winning agency, ICF Next. We’re changemakers, a community of mission driven creatives, communicators, strategists, and technologists. We’re searching for a Speechwriter . As a * * Speechwriter , you will:  

Craft speeches, talking points, remarks, briefings, and messagesfor senior leaders with a large-scale federal government client.

Develop,write, and edit compelling blogs, op-eds, and other written communications.

Collaborate with senior leaders on requirements, including content, tone, and style.

Conduct research, gather data, and analyze information from various sourcesto ensure accuracy and effective inclusion in written communications.

Attend on-site meetings and other events in Washington, D.C. as requested (must reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area).   

Basic Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in journalism,communications, English or a related field 

Five years of experience writing speeches for executive and senior leaders

Able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance (federal government background check) 

Must residein the Washington, D.C. metro area for on-sitevisits 

Preferred Skills and Experience:  

Experience writing for senior government officials

Interest in justice and law enforcement

Superior written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail

Experience working successfully in a team environment 

Proficiency in the following Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

Experience supporting a government or federal agency

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$79,643.00 - $135,392.00
