  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Hospitality and Tourism Intern, you will gain experience in the hospitality and tourism industry participating in the hospitality operations at Kings Gap Environmental Education Center. You will learn overnight guest services, food preparation and service, event coordination, and hosting trainings and conferences.  Additionally, you will also assist in filing, data entry, drafting documents, answering telephones, and greeting visitors.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:Hospitality and TourismBusiness Administration and ManagementMeeting and Event PlanningAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completed.Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

  Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
