*Depending on the qualifications of the applicants, the successful candidate may be offered a position at a more appropriate level.Role Summary:The Training and Awareness Specialist is responsible for serving Buckeye's programs, departments, and leadership in the Design, development, coordination, implementation, and documentation (record keeping) of training and awareness programs.Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:*Execute assigned training and/or awareness projects within agreed upon scope and timeframe:oPartner closely with core operations and service functions to understand and develop plans that assess needs, create deliverables, meet objectives and goals.oCollaborate with organizational Subject Matter Experts, Program Managers, and/or external consultants to apply adult learning methodologies to design and develop engaging training and/or awareness content, and materials that effectively achieve training goals and objectives.oDevelop and guide the production of instructional materials and guides, surveys, and evaluations in appropriate mediums and formats that meet goals and objectives.oSupport training assignment or awareness distribution strategy and execution.oSupport training documentation and record keeping through the utilization of the Learning Management System (LMS) in accordance with Training Services procedures.oEnsure developed training is maintained on the training matrix and that updated methodologies and requirements are aligned to the Training Manual.*May facilitate, deliver, or support facilitation/delivery of training and/or awareness, as appropriate.*Maintaining knowledge of Buckeye's Learning Management System including training others in its use, as appropriate.*Support people managers with Training Matrix review and identification of appropriate training for new and evolving employees.*Ensure collaboration between cross-functional areas of the organization to reduce overlap and redundancy in training and/or awareness development and assignments/distribution.*Ensure availability of and distribute periodic training status reports to program managers and leadership.*Support design, coordination, and assistance of implementation of training academies, schools, and seminars.*Support and monitor routine and reoccurring training assignments.*Assist in evaluating training program and material effectiveness through end-user outreach and asse sment activities.*Support the facilitation and maintenance of the Train-the-Trainer program.*Identify training needs/gaps in collaboration with the recommended process improvements to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.*Support needs identification for Learning Management System updates, testing, and/or validation activities.*Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements:*Education: Bachelor's degree in education, communication, training and development, instructional design, organizational development or other related discipline is required.*3+ years previous experience in training design, development, implementation, and delivery is required.*Experience in the Energy Industry is desirable.*Must have excellent classroom presentation and distance learning presentation skills.*Experience in development and deployment of video training and computer training is a required.*Travel Requirements: 10%Certificates & Licenses:*Effective Presentation and Training Skills (or similar) certificate.*E-Learning creation certification or similar designation preferred.Other Skills, Attributes and Abilities:*Skilled in adult learning principles and methodologies.*Must be able to utilize course creation and eLearning software.*Must have excellent classroom presentation and distance learning presentation skills.*Excellent oral and written communications skills are essential.*Must have excellent planning and coordination skillsets.*Self-motivated and a team player.*Ability to interact with employees at all levels within the organization.*Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications.*Proficient in Instructional Design and Development fundamentals (ADDIE) when creating or updating training materials.Essential Functions:*This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.*This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.*This position requires compliance with all personnel policies.Physical & Safety Requirements:*Normal Office EnvironmentAbout You:To be successful in the Buckeye culture, our employees must possess a demonstrated commitment to environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance.Excellent communication, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational skills are paramount.
