Job Description: L3Harris is looking for an experienced Hardware Quality Assurance Engineer working at the Clifton, New Jersey facility in Space Systems.
Essential Functions:
Review, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished hardware on highly complex electronic & mechanical spaceflight assemblies
Is responsible for continuous improvement focus and ZDP execution
Drive FRB/MRB activities to closure
Generate relevant metrics and present them to internal and external customers
Execute with Program Management, IPTs, and Quality Leadership to report status and process improvements
Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and responsible for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) as necessary
Partners with other functions to achieve efficient resolution of issues without compromise to quality
Manage complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products
Provide guidance, coach, and train other employees
Qualifications:
Secret Clearance required
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis tools and the ability to apply them
Strong auditing skills
Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task successfully to drive tasks to closure to support aggressive project schedules
Familiarity with AS9100D and related specifications such as J-STD-001 and J-STD-620
Ability to work independently upon completion of onboarding and training
Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Lean/Six Sigma Certification
Microsoft Office experience
