The Position
The Specialist of Intercompany Accounting is responsible for efficient management and execution of Intercompany end to end process to ensure compliance and Service Level Agreements including management and/or execution of core financial processes such as billing, invoice posting, payment proposal, cash application, closing activities and reconciliation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution, compliance and maintenance of Intercompany related standard, processes and procedures as part of the GBS service portfolio. Coordinate with Global Process Owner, Local and other GBS Center for intercompany related topics.
Ensure timely and accurate performance of daily Intercompany tasks in compliance with BI rules.
Responsible in administering the processes in accordance with published guidelines, standard work instructions, internal control standards and Local’s Finance and/or Corporate policies.
Prompt replies on all emails on a daily basis and fast escalation of issues. Recognize and communicate potential issues/risks with team and manage special/extraordinary issues and projects.
Drive and contribute on new deployments for all Intercompany related systems and regularly update process documentations
Follow process rules, monitor Intercompany standards and seek ways to improve the process.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field. With experience in Accounts Payable and General Accounting
2+ years of experience in accounting/finance with background in end-to-end intercompany accounting process.
SAP knowledge
Knowledge in German GAAP, US GAAP, or IFRS, is an advantage
Fluent English skills (read, write, speak)
Willing to work on flexible working shifts and amenable for night shift
Team player, good analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills
Excellent prioritization ability and time management
