NBC Universal is hiring a Specialist to join the Editorial Strategy & Planning team in support of our direct-to-consumer streaming service, Peacock. This is a highly cross-functional role that will help drive the ideation and execution of Peacock’s growth, retention, and engagement plans and shape on-product merchandising tactics to maximize performance of our priority content. We are seeking an organized self-starter who is adept at managing multiple projects at once while being able to prioritize among various tasks, especially in a fast-moving and ever-evolving climate.
The Editorial Strategy & Planning team is tasked with overseeing human-driven merchandising approaches that maximize exposure and reach for priority content (including TV series, movies and live events) in support of overall customer engagement. The team builds and shares campaign and content calendars with internal and external stakeholders, closely tracks performance and optimizes merchandising continuously.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with many different personalities and speaking on behalf of the Editorial team in both small and large group settings. This role requires a strong eye for detail, excellent relationship management skills and an interest in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment!
Responsibilities
Help develop and maintain strategy and planning documentation, including campaign calendars, merchandising plans and performance reporting
Support and contribute to title-level and campaign-level merchandising strategies, powered by both human curation and algorithmic recommendations
Communicate Editorial campaign plans to internal partners (including marketing and programming colleagues)
Collect and synthesize research on upcoming priorities for dissemination for the wider Editorial team
Help manage team meetings, including creation of agendas and capturing of comprehensive meeting notes
Maintain multiple Airtable databases that provide guidance to the larger editorial team on how to merchandise content coming to Peacock
Provide insights via competitive research across the streaming landscape
Monitor social media for trends related to Peacock content and competitors
Audit the platform daily to ensure content is merchandised appropriately
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum 1 year experience in a marketing, journalism, media, or entertainment role (internship experience will be considered)
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint. Experience with other software, such as AirTable, and document management systems, such as SharePoint, a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt information to multiple audiences
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
Desired Characteristics:
Experience working in streaming preferred
A passion for television, movies, pop culture and entertainment
General understanding of the media landscape

Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
