  Position Summary

  This position is responsible for the collection of past due accounts via an automated outbound dialer as well as answering inbound calls from customers. This is a fast-paced, goal-oriented collection call center role.

  Responsibilities

  Place outbound (automated and manual) collection calls to customers

  Negotiate payments and (repayment arrangements) to assist customers in curing their delinquency

  Handle inbound customer calls regarding past due balances and/or account inquiries

  Initiate account corrections/updates/adjustments when necessary

  Thoroughly document account notes

  Validate customer demographics (phone, address, etc.) to ensure accuracy

  Required :

  Strong computer skills including the ability to talk and type simultaneously and move quickly through different applications.

  By behavior, demonstrate adherence to the company’s core values

  Strong verbal communication skills; speaks clearly and is easily understood, uses proper grammar and choice of words

  Ability to demonstrate concern for customers and a willingness to find solutions

  Empathetic/understanding/acknowledgement of customers’ specific circumstances

  Remains polite and professional throughout dialogue

  Effectively and succinctly resolves issues

  Listening and negotiation skills

  Seeks out and supports continuous improvement within the department

  Ability to multi-task and quickly move from one function to another

  Preferred :

  Previous call center experience

  Bilingual experience is a plus

  Work Shifts:

  Mid-shift – 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

  Late-shift – 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ($0.75 shift differential)

  Weekly Hours: 40 hours, Full-time

  Pay Rate Type: Hourly

  Hourly Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.00 depending on experience

  Location: Brook Park, Ohio

  Minimum Qualifications

  High School Diploma or equivalent
