　　JOB SUMMARY

　　Works with a special education student(s) to implement the individual education plan. Provides general supervision, performs clerical duties, and works cooperatively with the teacher in serving the needs of special education children. May also be expected to assist other students in addition to the one specifically assigned. These classrooms have a smaller student/teacher ratio to address specific student needs in academics, behavior and other supplemental assistance areas. Student needs may be met utilizing the collaborative model but students may require more supplemental services in the special education classroom. These classrooms will generally have between 8-13 students.
