Description We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Bilingual (Spanish) Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care. As the first point of contact for patients, the receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience.
Responsibilities:
Patient Reception:
Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process.
Verify patient information, insurance details, and ensure all necessary forms are completed accurately.
Direct patients to the appropriate departments or healthcare professionals.
Appointment Scheduling:
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the electronic scheduling system.
Coordinate and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
Provide reminders and follow-up calls for upcoming appointments.
Communication:
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
Respond to patient inquiries and provide information about services, policies, and procedures.
Relay messages to the appropriate staff members in a timely manner.
Documentation and Records:
Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and filed appropriately.
Assist in managing medical records and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Language Assistance:
Serve as a bilingual liaison between non-English speaking patients and healthcare providers.
Translate documents and assist in interpreting conversations when necessary.
Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support to the medical office as needed.
Assist with billing, insurance claims, and other administrative tasks.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk.
